Empowering Through Knowledge, Connecting Through Community

Guidance for your journey

At Misbah Trust, our programs are built on the belief that when a young person gains knowledge and remains firm in their identity, the whole community gains strength. Study, when supported by the right people and the right intentions, becomes a form of service to family, community and faith.

Our four programs work together to support you at different stages of your path. One helps remove financial and academic barriers, another builds ties between Shiite communities across countries, a third deepens your understanding of Arabic and Shia heritage and a fourth gives dedicated space for Shiite women to grow in knowledge and leadership. Each one addresses a different need, but all of them share the aim of helping you succeed without becoming distant from who you are.

We are interested in helping you reach beyond graduation. The purpose of our work is to nurture a generation of Shiite professionals who are capable in their fields, respected in wider society and still closely connected to their families, communities and traditions.

Manar Program (منار)

Your Anchor in Academia.

The Manar program is designed to remove the practical barriers that stand between you and your degree. We know that talent isn’t enough if you don’t have the resources to back it up, so we provide need-based scholarships, essential tech and private tutoring to close any academic gaps. Crucially, every student is also paired with a dedicated professional mentor for long-term guidance. This ensures you have a trusted partner to help you navigate course choices, internships and early career moves giving you the confidence that comes from having someone in your corner who has been there before.

Wa Ta'awanu Program (وَتَعَاوَنُوا)

Connect Beyond Borders.

University can sometimes feel isolating, but you are part of something much bigger. Misbah Trust created this program to link you with Shiite youth across the globe to share experiences, tackle common challenges together and build a powerful international network. Through study trips, regional meetups and events, networking events and high-impact webinars, we replace isolation with real connection. Our goal is for you to see yourself as part of a wider, thoughtful global community, building friendships and professional and personal alliances that reach far beyond your own campus or city.

Turath Program (تراث)

Know Your History, Own Your Future.

You shouldn’t have to leave your identity at the classroom door. The Turath program offers Arabic classes and classes on Shia history that run alongside your formal university degree. These classes provide intellectual depth and context, helping you understand your tradition in a way that stands up to the questions and pressures of modern academic life. By treating faith, language and history as respected fields of study, we help you build an identity that feels grounded and intellectually alive.

Alkawthar Program (الكوثر)

Lead on Your Own Terms.

The Alkawthar program is a dedicated space for Shiite women to define what leadership looks like for them. Through TED-style talks, leadership workshops and small-group mentoring, we help you navigate the unique challenges of public and professional life. Misbah Trust doesn’t want you to just adapt to the system; we want you to shape it. This program gives you the tools, strategy and network to influence your environment and build a career that is authentically yours.
